The date, and how it got here

The game has been in public view since its first Steam demo in 2024, and for most of that time it was headed for an Early Access launch. That changed in March 2026, when the team published "Our Plans Are Changing" — instead of an Early Access opening, they would keep working until the game could ship as a finished 1.0. The September 15, 2026 announcement then nailed the date: October 16.

What the 1.0 contains

The jump to 1.0 is not just a label change. Compared to the original Early Access plan, the developer lists: the full hand-crafted galaxy to explore, several new endgame building tiers, new peep interaction mechanics, spaceships and planets for exploration, more settleable planets, the full story of Kewa and the peeps — and aliens to meet, quests to take and lore to find.

Mechanically, launch also brings together the systems the dev blogs rolled out through 2026: peep sickness, mourning, strikes and celebrations, Kewa's health and happiness, and sandbox mode.

Price, platforms and languages

  • Price: not listed yet on Steam. No pre-order and no announced editions; a wishlist is the practical way to get launch-day pricing.
  • Platform: PC only for now (Windows 10 64-bit on the store requirements). Mac and Linux are not listed.
  • Languages: 15 interface languages — English (with full audio), French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Italian, Czech, Turkish, Ukrainian.
  • Accessibility and comfort: the store page advertises adjustable text size, adjustable difficulty, camera comfort options, custom volume controls, no timed-input requirement and save-anywhere.

What to play until launch

The free demo is the obvious answer — it is live now and covers the opening of the game. If you want to arrive on October 16 already fluent in the early loop rather than learning it from scratch, play the demo and then read the beginner guide for the parts the demo doesn't explain. The demo guide covers what's in it and how it differs from the full release.
